Editors note: Let’s celebrate one year of Maeren & Lobebaeren
188 posts in one year - these are the stats of Maeren & Lobebaeren, my blog, which focuses on the medieval culture, living history and historical european martial arts.
I started this blog as a collection of random web findings, to store helpful information for further use in my own projects. Soon it evolved into something more: from merely collecting stuff to making tutorials and documenting my do-it-yourself projects.
This benefits not only my followers, but me too, since I tend to procrastinate and the frequent blog entries keep me in line. Thus I was able to complete a new scabbard in under four weeks (the first one took me a year!), renewed a sword hilt, made two dozen arming points, finished a belt hanger for my dagger scabbard and a tooled sheath for my eating knife.
So I have to thank you for your interest in Maeren & Lobebaeren and your patience, since I do often write in german. Thank you very much!
And now let’s celebrate with Monty Pythons’ Knights of the Round Table!
